Flying a family to Ranthambore National Park
A travel agent tasked us with transporting a family from Delhi to Ranthambore National Park; a wildlife reserve in northern India that’s renowned for its tiger population. Rather than make the five-hour drive from the nearest airport, the family wanted to save time by flying to an airstrip in the heart of the reserve. We set about arranging a private jet charter to get them there.
Our Solution
Route: Delhi > Ranthambore
Aircraft: Beechcraft King Air B200 and B250
Our experts knew Ranthambore’s short airstrip was only accessible to smaller planes and could only handle one aircraft at a time. Offering the client a solution within an hour, we suggested splitting the group between two turboprops with short runway capabilities.
Thanks to our strong relationship with the ground staff at Ranthambore, we were able to expedite permit approval and coordinate seamless consecutive landings, with the second aircraft cleared to depart Delhi as soon as passengers had disembarked the first.
The Finer Details
Thoughtful Touches: Despite the small aircraft having no cabin crew, we arranged high-end catering, as well as leaving thank-you gifts onboard to make the flight extra special.
Attention to Detail: We prepared a contingency plan in case bad weather made it difficult to land, giving the client complete peace of mind that everything was in hand.
