Repatriating Dutch citizens stranded in the Philippines

In April 2020, Air Charter Service was asked to assist the Dutch government with the repatriation of 180 Dutch citizens who were stranded in the Philippines during the Covid-19 pandemic.

With scheduled flights disrupted as the virus spread around the world, the client needed a private charter to fly the passengers to Kuala Lumpur where they were due to board a connecting flight to Amsterdam.

Our Solution

Routes: Philippines > Kuala Lumpur

Aircraft: Boeing B737-800

After receiving the request, we sprung into action and quickly sourced a Boeing B737-800 that was available at short notice to transport the passengers to Kuala Lumpur in time for their connecting flight home. Our experienced team kept up-to-date with ever-changing travel restrictions and made sure we had all the necessary permissions for the charter to go ahead.

The Finer Details

Rapid Response: We worked around the clock to confirm the charter within 24 hours of the client first contacting us.

Global Presence: Our London and Hong Kong offices worked together to confirm the charter and ensure everything ran smoothly throughout.
